Casual vacancies in the 10th Legislative Assembly (2020-2024)
There have been three casual vacancies since the 2020 Legislative Assembly election.
Mr Johnathan Davis
Mr Johnathan Davis, MLA for Brindabella, resigned from the ACT Legislative Assembly on Sunday 12 November 2023.
A notice was published in The Canberra Times on Friday 17 November 2023 calling for nominations from eligible candidates.
Any person who was an unsuccessful candidate for the electorate of Brindabella at the 2020 ACT Legislative Assembly election could apply to contest this vacancy. Applications closed at 12 noon on Monday 27 November 2023.
The names of the candidates who applied to contest the vacancy were publicly declared at 12:30 pm on Monday 27 November 2023 at the ACT Legislative Assembly building. A recount of the votes received by Mr Davis at the 2020 election was conducted immediately after the declaration of candidates to determine who would replace Mr Davis in the Assembly.
The following candidates applied to contest the vacancy in the electorate of Brindabella following the resignation of Mr Johnathan Davis:

The names of the candidates who applied to contest the vacancy were publicly declared at 12:30 pm on Monday 20 June 2022 at the ACT Legislative Assembly building. A recount of the votes received by Mrs Jones at the 2020 election was conducted immediately after the declaration of candidates to determine who would replace Mrs Jones in the Assembly.

Any person who was an unsuccessful candidate for the electorate of Yerrabi in the 2020 ACT Legislative Assembly election could apply to contest this vacancy. Applications closed at 12 noon on Thursday 25 March 2021.
