Deregistration of Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party (ACT)

Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party (ACT) has been removed from the ACT’s register of political parties, ACT Electoral Commissioner, Mr Damian Cantwell AM CSC, announced today, 23 August 2024.
“Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party (ACT) originally applied to register as a political party in the ACT on 5 June 2020, just prior to the cut-off for the 2020 ACT Legislative Assembly election. The party was officially registered on 10 July 2020. The registration has been cancelled at the request of the party.” Mr Cantwell said.
Fifteen political parties are registered to contest the October 2024 election:

- Belco Party (ACT)
- Canberra Progressives
- Democratic Labour Party (DLP)
- Family First Party (ACT)
- Fiona Carrick Independent
- First Nation Party
- Independents for Canberra
- Liberal Party of Australia (A.C.T. Division)
- Libertarian Party
- Strong Independents
- Sustainable Australia Party – Stop Overdevelopment / Corruption
- The ACT Greens
- The Community Action Party (ACT)
