Voting centres

Voting at the 2020 ACT Legislative Assembly election commences 9 am on 28 September 2020 and concludes at 6 pm on 17 October 2020.

All ACT electors may cast a vote at any of the voting locations across the ACT.

An increased number of voting locations will be open across the ACT between 28 September 2020 and 16 October 2020 to allow for a safe voting environment for all electors. These voting centres will be open every day of the voting period, during the following times:

Saturday to Thursday: 9 am to 5 pm

Fridays: 9 am to 8 pm

On the final day of the voting period, Saturday 17 October 2020, additional single day voting locations will open, spread out across the ACT. Voting on the final day is available between 8 am and 6 pm.

If you cannot get to a voting centre you may apply for a postal vote.

Location of voting centres - Open 28 September to 16 October

All of these voting centres will be open from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm Saturday through to Thursday. On Fridays these same locations are open 9:00 am until 8:00 pm.

Note, these locations are open every day including weekends and public holidays.

Voters may vote at any polling place in the ACT, regardless of the electorate you are enrolled in.

Additional final day polling places - Open 17 October

All polling places on election day are open from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. Voters may vote at any polling place in the ACT, regardless of the electorate you are enrolled in.
