Time running out to enrol to vote in ACT election – electoral rolls close tomorrow

Published 15 Sep 2016

Canberrans have until 8 pm on Friday to make sure they are enrolled to vote for the 15 October ACT Legislative Assembly election.

The ACT Electoral Commissioner, Mr Phil Green, reminded ACT voters today that the roll is about to close and only those on the roll would be able to vote in next month’s election.

“Friday night at 8 pm is the cut-off for enrolment,” Mr Green said. “Completed enrolment forms must be received by an Electoral Office by 8 pm, not just posted by then.”

Eligible citizens can enrol or update their enrolled address online and check if their enrolment is up to date at www.elections.act.gov.au.

Enrolment forms are also available at any ACT Post Office or ACT electoral office.

Forms can also be delivered to the Australian Electoral Commission at 50 Marcus Clark Street, Canberra City, or faxed to (02) 6293 7601 up to 8 pm on Friday. Forms can also be delivered to Elections ACT at Eclipse House, 197 London Circuit, Canberra City or faxed to (02) 6205 0382.
