Time running out to enrol to vote in ACT election - Electoral rolls close 19 September.

Published 18 Sep 2008

Canberrans have until 8 pm on Friday night to make sure that they are enrolled to vote in the October 18 ACT Legislative Assembly election.

The ACT Electoral Commissioner, Mr Phil Green, today reminded ACT voters that the roll is about to close and only those on the roll would be able to vote in next month’s election.

“Friday night at 8 pm is the cut-off for enrolment,” Mr Green said. “We are not able to include any enrolments received after that time. Completed forms must be received by an Electoral Office by the cut-off time, not just posted by then.”

Forms can be delivered to Elections ACT at the O’Connell Centre, Cnr Stuart Street and Blaxland Crescent in Griffith, or to the Australian Electoral Commission at 8-10 Hobart Place, Civic, up to 8 pm on Friday.

Enrolment forms can also be faxed to (02) 6205 0382.

Enrolment forms are available from post offices, ACT Shopfronts, electoral offices or can be printed from the Commission’s website.
