2001 ACT Legislative Assembly Election
The 2001 ACT Legislative Assembly election was conducted by the ACT Electoral Commission using the "Hare-Clark" electoral system. This election was the first time in Australia that electronic voting was used at polling places for parliamentary elections and also saw the introduction of electronic counting of all ballots for the first time in the ACT.
